Our client now employs over 300 staff in 7 factories in the UK and Europe and is a leading manufacturer and supplier of Log Cabins, Garden Buildings, Renewable Energy Products and Caravans. They sell direct to end users and design, manufacture, market, sell and deliver direct. They are currently in the process of developing the export of some of their products into the overseas markets. Growing at around 40% per annum, an opportunity has now arisen for a Graduate Journalist / Online Content Writer to join their team.

Drawing upon your professional and creative talents, as a Graduate Journalist / Online Content Writer, you will be responsible for helping to develop the company’s exposure through a variety of media channels.
Supporting the various departments and product managers, you will ensure the company’s brand and product recognition continues to grow in the UK and overseas. This will include reviewing the company’s existing websites and developing the product information and content.
A primary requirement will be in the preparation and submission of interesting press releases that will be published by targeted media. Meticulous market research and analysis of the company’s exposure in the market place will also be an intrinsic part of your duties.
To be considered for the role of Graduate Journalist / Online Content Writer, you must have:
- A degree (or equivalent) in public relations, marketing or journalism - Knowledge of search engines such as Google and Yahoo
Additionally, you must be proactive and enjoy achieving targets. You must also be outgoing and have the ability to think on your feet.
Although not essential, an understanding of online marketing using social media outlets would be a distinct advantage to your application.
